Little Dougie was happy as happy can be
He loved pissing bubbles for all the world to see.
So even when the bubbles covered his little chin
He faced the world with his wicked little grin.
What a lovely way for a little lad to cope
When his little potty mouth kept getting washed out with soap.

I am first-woohoo
I really like the picture-
the poem reminds me of a few soapy days of my own-blah
It must not have stayed with me, as my language is a vular as ever.
I switched to beta and messed my blog up-not that anyone would notice-ha
as vulgar as ever, sorry, should have previewed.
Just don't use Safeboy, you'll go blind.
I remember being younger and when using a cuss word felt empowering.
old farts wife: I tried to go to your site yesterday. I was wondering what had happened. I read your stories on bloglines but when I tried going to your site it was not there.
phoenix: My mom was a straight up Ivory soap person for this purpose. As you can tell by my posts, it didn't do much good.
angel, jr: As a good curse word should.
What happened when he talked shit ?
I used to soap my oldest son's mouth with soap when he cussed.Im not sure it ever taught him anything! lol. When I found out he was smoking I made him smoke 10 cigarettes, one after another. Not sure that taught him anything either. What can I say? I tried.
hahahaaa! When my son was 7, his step-dad made him stand with a bar of soap in his mouth for 15 min. When I found out----I was FURIOUS!!! Seems my 7 yr. old repeated something step-dads 11 yr. old had said--Of course-the 11 yr. old was not punished!!!
I Hate when that happens-and it seems to be constant!
:o
ben: Bonus Points.
mimi: Mom was hell on wheels when it came to cursing when I was young but by the time my brothers got here she was too tired to worry about it.
catch: You gotta say something for giving it a try.
starbender: 7 year olds are natural mimics. The 11 year old should have been punished if anything.
Short and sweet and to the point me thinks :)
anyone that knows me knows my vulgar vocabulary...it goes for my kids and even grandkids..we think the soap trick...wouldn't work..we tried the jar punishment where you put change in for each cuss word.? we could have bought a home in hawaii..
soap never took hold with me...I swear like a sailor :)
:):)
Keshi.
I was TOO scared of my parents to cuss in front of them. I got in trouble for saying "fart" when I was 10 or 11.
Of course, now, I swear like there's no tomorrow. So much for my "upbringing." :-)
You're such a goober!
pixie: Just the way I like 'em.
granny: I would need an awful big jug.
ol' lady: I acquired a taste for both soap and Nyquil.
paige: Doogie gay. Who'd a thunk it.
curare: I just acquired a taste for soap. That was easier.
pita: You say the sweetest things.
This is autobiographical, is it buddy?
I remember when I was a kid there actually were parents who would wash their mouths with soap.
Of course it never happened to me cuz I was such an angel as a child. ;)
WC
mom washed mine out with soap once. ew. because I said "butthole" in front of my 3 year old sister.
I love it!
phlegmmy: Butthole wouldn't even register these days.
