Can't Watch TV

Last night I was flipping through the channels on TV when I noticed a program on the SciFi channel that got my attention. It wasn't the title of the program but the host that got my attention. The show was one of those quasi-journalistic UFO fanatic programs titled 'UFO Invasion at Rendlesham'. The host for the show was Bryant Gumble. Oh how the big headed one has fallen. His was a meteoric rise from gridiron commentator to the Today show host but then his fall from grace as his ego pushed him to headlining the CBS Early Show shows that what goes up with hot air must fall when the ratings cool.

What is next for Bryant? I could envision, 'The Man Raised by Sasquatch', or possibly 'Did the Mermaids Survive the Tsunami?' Then again he might even sink to infomercials next hawking wares with Ron Popeil. There is always the chance that he could resurrect his career. Geraldo did it after the Al Capone's Vault fiasco, which proved that it could be done.

If he can resurrect his career maybe he will show a little more humility or maybe he will just become the King of the Weird Science crowd with his big ego intact.

Yeah, I saw another one of his UFO specials just last night. Hey - he did lose a ton of weight, though. Since his career has gone to the crapper, he had to inflate his ego somehow.

I'm thinking he'll be the next host of "Scare Tactics."

What were you doing watching the sci-fi channel did the Angry Joyce steal the remote during Days of Our Lives. That aside I never really liked Briam Gumble he seems like an old white man in black guys body it just freaks me out.

He's two steps from being on the "Surreal Life" and bickering with Tempsett Bledsoe, Stephen Jenkins of Third Eye Blind and whatever random midget they can rustle up this time.

Too funny, could porn be far behind?

Bryant Gumbel stars in "Grand Theft Anal".

phoenix: Maybe he could come up with a has been diet plan. It could feature recipes for eating crow.

cd: Why are you still hating? Has someone taken your soap privaleges away again.

ella and mic: I have found a way to combine both of your suggestions. The next installment of The Surreal Life could include Bryant and Bridget the Midget, the porn actress who was on Cathouse the Series on HBO last summer, which could give him a love connection. Then they could do a spin-off with the two of them titled 'The Broadcaster and the Bitty Babe'. It would either be a smash hit or drive the death nail in reality TV.

I was wondering what happened to him.

cd: It would probably have a huge cult following.

angel jr: He does that along with Real Sport on HBO. If I was a correspondent on that program, I would have to look him square in the eye and ask him what kind of Olympic team the martians were going to have this time around.

Great TV rant! Wow, I hadn't realized Bryant Gumble had took a dive to tabloidesque TV. Maybe he'll interview Bat Boy next week.

I like Ella and your suggestion of a potential Surreal Life appearance. I think another possibility would be Celebrity Boxing. A Gumble vs. Al Roker bout would be sweet. Bring it.
