The Great Storm Of '06

The weathermen all said that this storm would be the worst winter storm since the great blizzard of '83. Well once again it would not have paid to put your money on the prediction. The great storm of '06 was nearly a complete bust. Don't get me wrong, there was some ice and it did get pretty cold but the umpteen days in a row of sub zero weather did not materialize. For that I am thankful. I don't mind a little bit of snow but I have a complete hatred of ice storms.

I have wrecked cars, gotten a concussion from falling on ice, and numerous other mishaps. I just plain hate the shit. So here is my little ode to ice.

Ice Ice Baby

Oh how I love you in a high ball glass
But when you're on the ground you're a pain in the ass.
You make me fall and you make me slip.
So laugh right now in your icy grip.
'Cause soon the day may come to pass
When global warming kicks your ass.

I love snow as well but ice sucks. Especially driving in it. I don't anyone who is "good" at it.

I am totally with you on this one. I hate the cold, the ice and snow. Give me a hot day and an ice cold beer anyday over that.

Have a good day.

hey fuzz
I guess the freeballin would be a bad idea with the weather you have had.
Touching warm skin with ice activates the branch of the nervous system that's responsible for sexual arousal and erection-so maybe "borrowing" the ice from the glass one in a while would be nice!

Now you know what it's like to live in Canada 5 months of the year, minus the healthcare of course.

catch: Hugs back darlin'. Glad I made ya smile.

lisa: It is really tough driving here as no one has any real practice with the stuff but once or twice a year.

leigh: Amen, and have a great day yourself.

johnny: I could really have used that after my noggin crack a few years ago.

I'm not much for ice - other than looking at it from the warm indoors... you always have the cutest pictures!

Here's to global warming yeah!
That's like this years Hurricane season was to be busier that usual. Same prediction as every year. They actually got it right for a couple of years. But ya know, a broken clock is right twice a day.

No shit weather people suck when they said we were going to get a foot of snow we get 4 inches, when they say we are not getting any snow we get a fucking foot of snow. I wish they would make up their minds!

phoenix: Sorry but the jury is still out on this one for me. I keep thinking back to the mid '80's when all the scientists promised the return of the Ice Age and now global warming is the cry. Give me a break, when they can figure out if eggs are good or bad and keep the same decision for more that five years then I might believe it. Until then I will keep taking prognostications with a generous dab of salt.

dan: I heard y'all were hit pretty hard up north. Keep some snow ice cream in the freezer for me.

phred: Mine neither. :)

wc: Glad ya liked it.
