Cry Baby

Flipping over to ESPN after the Colts game, I caught an interview with Peyton Manning. I had always admired his skills as a q.b. but always had an impression that he would forge the same path of Dan Marino and be the best quarterback not to win the big one. This interview solidified that view. In the interview he whined about protection problems, blaming his lineman for his lackluster performance. I guess it is no longer acceptable to shoulder any of the blame if you are a commercial superstar.

Manning will never win the big one for one simple reason and he showed it in spades. The man has no heart. Fran Tarkenton rewrote the rulebooks on being a q.b. because he had no line. Yet he ducked, dived, and scrambled his way to a Super Bowl appearance and never blamed his team. Johnny Unitas never chastised his teammates to the public. He might harass them in private but he didn't go to the press and whine. Jake Plummer spent his prime years playing for the hapless Cardinals and didn't whine and now he is on the route to a possible Super Bowl with the Broncos.

Mr. Manning, your whole team lost and only by a blind referee and a Pittsburgh lapse were the Colts even close in the end. You got whipped, Your team got whipped. Take your whuppin' like a man not a little tittybaby.

Mr. Manning, you are a Grade A douchebag. I hope your lineman give your opponents a revolving door entrance to your ass next season. Or better yet maybe the Colts can pick up T.O. and we will see who is the biggest crybaby in the NFL. Maybe then you can live up to your potential.

I agree, what he said was tanamount to sticking a knife in his team mates back.

I am extremely disappointed in Peyton Manning's attitude AND performance in that game. And I was so excited for him in the beginning because at least his (previous) x-factor had already been removed the night before! He had no need to have nightmares about Willie McGinest anymore!

Yet he still managed to play a total clusterf*ck of a game. ::shakes head:: It's really too bad....

It's expected to be frustrated, but it was a team loss and it's been a month since the Colts played a good game. Forget being like Marino, it's starting to look like Manning could be like Dan Fouts and Warren Moon and not even make it to the big one. Let's not forget that Manning got whipped in his last game at UT as well so blowing the big one has haunted him for a longtime. Being a Broncos' fan, I am glad to get the championship in Denver.

I thought he was a class act but the frustration is starting to get to him and it shows. The game is more about who is the best its about who wants it the most and obviously the steelers wanted it more. T.O. doesn't work with fags remember Jeff Garcia?

keshi: Thanks. I would like to see them on the same team battle of the superstar crybabies.

mic: Yeah I bet he doesn't get a lot of respect from his offensive line next season.

siren: He better do hearing exercises this off season, so he can hear those foot steps coming from his blind side.

sassygirl: Thanks for dropping in. It is strange that one monkey was off the Colts back and yet another one jumped on.

metal mark: It has been a long time coming for Jake the Snake. I hope he can make the most of it.

laurie: Wuss is too polite a term for the way he talked but you are a polite lady.

cd: There you go hating on Jeff 'Gayboy' Garcia again. Can't the man get a moments peace?

Come on Fuzz he is a gay quaterback. I may be an open minded person but we can't have a gay quaterback. The poor center.

I'm glad I didn't see that interview.

It's hard to be even a mediocre quarterback when you're doing a faceplant on fake grass with sand flying in your face.

I saw that interview, and I was pretty shocked to see him rag on his teammates like that. He didn't take any responsibility for sucking eggs, but I think it's because he's so frustrated.

Tony Dungy is a great coach, but isn't this the same reason Tampa Bay fired his ass? He couldn't get his men fired up for the post season in Florida either.

cd: Maybe they could find him a gay center.

angel jr: If you are a Manning fan it was a good thing to miss it. It definantly wasn't one of his shining moments.

ann: Leave it to you.

phoenix: As a long time Buc fan, I respect Dungy but in Tampa he couldn't find an offence to match his defence. I find it odd that this year it seemed like the defence was finally meshing and the offence choked on the big one.

Maybe Mannings teamates Already knew him to be an asshole.
Or , Dan is right.
Dale Earnhardt said it best... Second is the first loser !

I'm just glad they lost, because now my Broncos are the favorites.

I heard from the PTI boys that he never gave that loaf of bread he got autographed to his brother Eli. What a stingy dude.

denny: Thanks for dropping in. Glad to see you agree.

phred: Earnhardt definantly knew his shit. Don't think that I ever heard him publicly cuss his pit crew either.

keshi: Thanks.

Ben O: Glad you brought that up. Bet he sold that apron on e-bay. What a bastard!

Warren Moon? NOOOOO!!! The flashback it hurts!!!!!

Manning looks especially bad when compared to the Colts' kicker, who took full responsibility for his missed field goal, and Jerome Bettis, who felt bad about his fumble, but blamed no one, saying he didn't do his job. Class and character tell.

Popped on over here from Lauries blog.

I would LOVE the Colts to take TO off our hands here in Philly. Then the Colts won't have a snowball's chance in Hades to win the Big One with those two crybabies. Granted, both are very talented: however, both are loud mouth, prima donna, super model wannabe bitches.

:P fuzzbox said...

big d: Yeah, that really hurts doesn't it.

stacy: Bettis showed himself to be a class act. The shots of him on the sideline after the forced fumble showed an athlete that was truly sorry for his team not just how it would affect his market value. I tried to leave a comment on your blog but it wouldn't let me. All I can say is can you believe they let that spaz on the end of the show through to the next round. Thanks for coming by.

maidink: Do you think anyone will want T.O.? Maybe if you sent McNabb you could get a two for one deal, maybe. Thanks for dropping in.

As a U of Florida Gators fan I got to watch for four years as Peytin became a media darling at UT. It sickened me. He, of course, never beat the Gators because they understood all you had to do was put pressure on him and he would wilt away. This is how he has always been.

ozy: I heard that he choked on the big one in the high school playoffs too but that could just be rumor.
